Custom PC Benchmarks Suite 2007 Help

Command Line Use

We recognise that some people prefer to use a Command Line Interface so we’ve provided this feature for the hardcore benchmarkers among you!

Please note that if you haven't already read the Advanced mode section then we suggest doing so now, otherwise the following information won't make a lot of sense.

As soon as the benchmarks application detects that command line options have been added, all options will be set to deselected, including which tests to run, so if you want the standard three tests, you'll have to specify them.

Specifying command line switches can be done either through a Windows shortcut, or through a batch file, which could be used in conjunction with, for example, an overclocking program. For example, you could use a batch file to overclock the machine by 10 per cent before running the benchmark again after each loop. This is very handy and exactly the sort of application that CLI was designed for.

Shortcut

/run

This will run the benchmark and leave the program open at the end. The /run option must obviously be used in conjunction with the switches for the tests that you want to initiate.

/runquit

This is the same as /run except that the application will quit when the tests have finished.

/image

This switch will turn on the Image Editing test.

/video

This switch will turn on the H.264 Video Encoding test.

/multi

This switch will turn on the Multitasking test.

/defragbefore

This will switch on the 'defrag before' option.

/defragafter

This will switch on the 'defrag after' option.

/loopinfinite

This will turn on the 'infinite looping' feature.

/loop=x

This will run the benchmarks for a set number of loops, where x is any number.

/rebootafter

This will turn on the 'reboot after' option.

/shutdownafter

This will turn on the 'shutdown after' option.

/nohaltonerror

This will turn on the 'don't halt on errors' option.

/nohaltoninteraction

This will turn on the 'don't halt on user interaction' option.
